Along Arabial street, between the streets Virgen Blanca and Camino de Purchil, the Federico García Lorca Park, with four entryways and an area of 71,500 m2, extends around the Huerta de San Vicente, on the land that formerly belonged to the García Lorca family.
Services
Recreation areas for children, outdoor cafés and terraces, a kiosk-bar, public rest rooms and a maintenance building. There are also benches, waste bins, drinking fountains, lighting, and access for the handicapped.
Basic Structure
The park contains several walkways, and most notably two main avenues: the Paseo de la Alameda runs along the river and leads to the pond area; and the Paseo de los Tilos goes from the main entrance to the service areas. Around these walkways one comes across the rest of the sections that make up the park: the neoplastic gardens, channels of water, the cibernetic fountain, the shoreline woods, the extensive rose gardens, and the orchard with its gardens.
